The monster and the battle

Sometimes in the morning I’m petrified and can’t move
Awake but cannot open my eyes
And the weight is crushing down on my lungs,
You know I can’t breathe, and hope someone will save me this time

No one has ever sung better about what it means to have a depression than JENNY LEWIS. Today is World Mental Health Day and we want to give the stage to all the brave people who share their experiences and fight against the stigma of mental illness.

A BETTER SON/DAUGHTER by RILO KILEY is almost a military march, which is very appropriate because depression is a war against a very strong monster. And this song makes you feel it’s a battle one can win.

The video’s quality is as raw as the pain in Lewis’s face…
